Duo Chevron Cowl - free pattern

Hi! :)
Fall is here. So we need more warmth and brightness.
Meet easy colorful free knitting pattern - Duo Chevron cowl.

Duo Chevron Cowl is perfect chance to use worsted weight yarn leftovers. Less than 1/2 skeins of each color needed.
The cowl is worked in the round from warm and soft wool (or wool blend) yarn. Fast and fun knit and good gift project :)

Size: One size. Easily adjustable.

Finished measurements:
Circumference: 23 ½” / 60 cm relaxed; width: 8 ½” / 21 cm

Materials:
Worsted weight wool or wool blends yarn:
Color A (purple) - about 80 yds/72 m
Color B (pink) - about 80 yds/72 m
Needles: US7/4.5 mm, US6/4.0 mm circular needle (24”).

Pattern is available for download via Ravelry

If you have any questions or you've found any errors please let me know.

Pattern has a small difference with the photo. I decided to add one more opposite color garter ridge on the every edge (as on cowl body).

Happy knitting!

Orchard

Short version of Halyard shawl with eyelets edging.
I like how self-striping yarn works for this pattern.
Ravelry pattern page
Size: L-6 rows (70”x14” / 170x35 cm)

Color A: 1 skeins = 230 yards (210 m) of Knit Picks Palette  in Oyster Heather  colorway (Natural)
Color B: 0.48 skeins = 190 yards (174 m) of Knit Picks Chroma Fingering  in Orchard colorway
Needles: US 4 - 3.5 mm, US 7 - 4.5 mm

Canyon Cardigan (my edition)/

My brother like Canyon Cardigan by Eunny Jang from Interweave Knits, Fall 2011.
Ok, I promised him to knit this cardigan and ordered original yarn for this pattern.
But due to pattern cardigan should be knitted in the round with the stick and cut. I don't like this method because a cutting yarn hurts my heart :)) So, I used star pattern only and made the top-down raglan fully seamless cardigan.
Also I decided to use smaller needle size than pattern recommended.
I like the result. I hope my brother will like it too (when cardigan arrived to Ukraine).
Modeled by my husband but cardigan is small for him.
Ravelry project page: Canyon Cardigan my edition
Size: 40" (50 rus)
Yarn: Tahki Yarns Jackson: 6.5 skeins = 852 yards (779 m) in Charcoal and 1.5 skeins = 197 yards (180 m) in Silver
Needle: US 10½ - 6.5 mm

Ripples

Finally I made photos of my new shawl #2 from Seaside Collection.
Ripples shawl design and colors were inspired by Black sea view in summer.
Shawl was made in two variant with/without ruffles using two color slip stitch pattern.

Kilda

Next project is Kilda by Sarah Hatton.
It was really long term project from November 2011 to March 2012.
My gauge was different so I recalculated all pattern for new gauge and my size.
I enjoy result. It's warm enough for our cold spring.

Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 Wool (100% Wool ; 100 grams - 220yds/200m)
2.6 skeins of Charcoal Gray and 3 skeins of Silver Gray.
Needles: US 7 - 4.5 mm for main pattern, US 6 - 4.0 mm and US 4 - 3.5 mm for ribs.

Kilda by Sarah Hatton.
