Leaf Evolution Shawl - pattern

Leaf Evolution Mystery Shawl is not a secret now :)

Mystery KAL members create a lot of different and so beautiful shawls.

Leaf Evolution shawl pattern has been updated and it is available in a regular format now.

Leaf Evolution is a triangular shawl worked in one piece from the center back to the bottom edge. Leaf and flower shawl pattern inspired by springtime, leaves and flowers growing.

Skills required: knit, purl, basic lace knowledge, make 9 sts from 3, provisional cast-on (optional).

Materials: lace or fingering weight yarns are suitable.

Average yarn utilization is 400-750 yds (Table included)

Teal shawl

Size: 63” x 31 1/2” (160 x 80 cm)

Yarn: 539 yds / 493 m of Valley Yarns 2/10 Merino Tencel (Colrain Lace), Lace / 2ply, 249g = 1540 yds / 1408 m, 50% Merino / 50% Tencel

Needles: US 6 - 4.0 mm

Green shawl

Size: 57” x 28 3/4” (145 x 73 cm)

Yarn: 423 yds / 387 m of Malabrigo Yarn Lace, Lace / 2ply, 50 g = 470 yds / 430 m,  100% Merino

Needles: US 5 - 3.75 mm

Only one skein of lace or fingering weight yarn (about 400-440 yds) will be enough to complete the project.
Average shawl size is 59” (150 cm) x 29 1/2” (75 cm)

Шаль Эволюция листьев - классическая треугольная ажурная шаль, вяжется от центра сверху вниз к кайме. На эту шаль меня вдохновила весна (ха-ха она еще в пути...) и как растут листья и цветы. 

Можно записаться на участие бесплатно до 5 Мая 2013 в моей группе на Ravelry.

Для шали необходимо около 400 метров пряжи lace или fingering (метраж 400 метров в 50 гр. или 400 метров в 100 гр.)

Средний размер шали 150 * 75 см.

Baked milk

This project I kept in a secret for a long time and then totally forgot to show it here :)

I finished this shawl in November 2012 but didn't show it because it was a gift for my friend Irina. 
The shawl had a long trip to the far side of Earth and crossed 12 time zones.

Shawl was made from gorgeous Madelinetosh tosh lace yarn in Milk color (I think it looks like baked milk :) ) with "Chinese Lace" pattern from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker.

Powder pink

New shawl is the first try to knit thin linen yarn.
Not easy to knit but result is fabulous!
It drapes well and feels deliciously light and soft but little crisp as real linen fabric (become softer in use).

 It is a modified version of my old pattern Cherry Garden.
No nupps, no side edges.

 Size: 67 1/4” x 31 3/4” (171 x 81 cm)
Yarn: 100 g = 656 yds / 600 m of LitYarn 100% Linen
Needles: US 5 - 3.75 mm
